Learn About Us

Committed to Excellence

Noah’s Ark Preschool is a long established and well respected preschool in the heart of Paulton. It has operated for over 40 years and has a team of enthusiastic staff who have all attained the appropriate early years qualifications. We welcome children between the ages of 21/2 and 4 years. Each member of staff is assigned key children with whom they form a close supportive relationship. We also encourage parents/carers to be actively involved in their children’s learning and operate an open door policy for parents and families.

Our Vision and Values

Our aim is to provide a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment where all children are able to enjoy themselves and grow in confidence.

We encourage every child to be competent learners who can be resilient, capable, confident and self assured.

We seek to build positive relationships with both our children and their families.

We aim for children to develop positive attitudes and relationships, which will form the base for them becoming strong, secure and independent individuals.

We see every child as unique and follow a child-led approach to learning within a supported environment.

Getting Your child to the Next Level

The preschool follows the guidance in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and we maintain the standards set out in the statutory framework of the EYFS. We take a child initiated approach to learning and ensure every child is presented with a wide range of opportunities and experiences during their time with us.

"Staff plan a wide range of stimulating activities and experiences for children, from
observations they make of their ever-changing interests. Children are always engaged
in play, which enables staff to consistently extend their learning to the next stage. As a
result, all children are motivated to learn and make good progress in all areas". Ofsted March 2015.

"Staff are skilled teachers and maximise opportunities in play to incorporate fun, literacy activities. As a result children are keen to learn the skills they need to read and write, this prepares them well for starting school" Ofsted March 2014
